Claribel first started studying the art of Middle Eastern belly dance in 1982. Apart from having received personal coaching from world famous Egyptian master teachers such as Raqia Hassan, Dr Mo Geddawi, Yousry Sharif, Aida Nour, etc., Claribel has also had the privilege of studying under Egyptian dance legends Sohair Zaki, Nagwa Fouad, Mahmoud Reda and the late Ibrahim Akef. Up to date, she still goes to Egypt twice a year to upgrade and update her dance skills and knowledge and has so far completed 5 Ahlan Wa Sahlan Intensive Winter Courses for belly dance teachers. Here in Singapore, KYOKO is the only Japanese belly dancer trained in Cairo and certificated by the belly dance teacher’s course in Egypt. She was born to ballroom dance instructor parents in Japan. Her first dance teacher was her mother. She started to join the special music skills school (piano, vocal, and rhythm dance) from 3 years old. Before embarking on belly dancing, she tried several dances like modern ballet, jazz dance, Latin dance etc, but nothing could satisfy her. Angelina’s love for the performing arts rooted at a young age with her training in western classical music, on the piano and her involvement in the Singapore Youth Orchestra playing the French horn. She was also a student of the Theatre Studies department of the National University of Singapore during her undergraduate studies.

Namiko Chan Takahashi is a multi-disciplinary artist and has been dancing since the age of 6. She had formal training in ballet and has also studied modern dance and jazz. She first learned Middle Eastern dance in 2001 while in New York City and has since studied with master teachers such as Raqia Hassan, Dr Mo Geddawi, Yousry Sharif, Faten Salama, Momo Kadous and Randa Kamel. Originally from Taiwan, Hsiao-Min is a much sought after choreographer and dance artiste. Professionally trained in Ballet, Jazz, Chinese Dance, Dance Education, Choreography and Performing, she is known for incorporating versatility and creativity in her work.
